8664 can't happen without an East End BridgeIt's the bridge that can create a true "region." It's the bridge that can bolster our logistics industry. And if we embrace 8664, the East End Bridge will allow us to divert nearly half the ~32,000 trucks that go through SJ everyday, improve access to and from downtown and reclaim our waterfront.

Cincinnati pursuing streetcarsLast week Cincinnati announced a plan to build a 4-mile section of downtown streetcars. Streetcars provide excellent mobility and economic benefits in high-density urban areas.
Consider the benefits of a fast, quiet, streetcar line accessing the East Market Galleries, Slugger Field, Iron Quarter*, the arena*, Museum Plaza*, our museum row, GlassWorks, 4th Street Live, the library and City Center* (*in development). With everything that's going on downtown, it's the kind of investment Louisville should be exploring.
If you have a particular interest in this vision and would like to move this initiative forward, please email info@8664.org.

To advocate for the revitalization of Louisville through the removal of Interstate 64 along the riverfront and the adoption of a transportation plan that will provide long-term benefits to the region's citizens, neighborhoods, environment and economy.
PS We have an immediate and urgent need for volunteers. To get involved please contact Joe Burgan at 384-6484. Working together we can return Louisville to the Ohio River.
