Subject: Questions about the Ohio River Bridges Project

Dear       ,

I support building the East End Bridge and have watched in frustration as it has been continually delayed over the past decades. I want to see that portion of the Bridges Project move forward as quickly as possible.

That said, I have a lot of questions about the current project:

  • Do you support placing tolls on the I-65 Bridge?
  • Are you aware that interstate traffic has decreased over the past decade? If so, why would we build a downtown bridge?
  • Why can't we build the East End Bridge first and then assess whether we need a downtown bridge?

I know everyone in this community is tired of delays and is ready to get something done. But I trust that you will ensure that that "something" is in Louisville's long term best interest.

Thank you very much for your consideration and for getting back to me regarding the above questions.

Sincerely,
