The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU.org), a Chicago-based organization that promotes urban livability picked Louisville's I-64 in its national list of Top Teardown Prospects. The "Freeways without Futures" list recognizes Louisville as having one of the greatest opportunities to stimulate valuable revitalization by replacing the highways with a boulevard.
